Higher Booking is a scheduling and payment app built for barbers and shop owners.
In my late 20s, I was stuck in a career in marketing and software that just didn’t feel right anymore. So, I made a big leap and switched to barbering, starting from scratch in a tiny space in an old BB-gun factory basement. Fast forward, and now I run a bustling shop with six chairs.
But there’s this itch I can’t scratch. With my tech background, I see a huge gap in the software tools we barbers have at our disposal—they just don’t get our world. It’s time for something made by someone who lives and breathes this trade, not some tech bros who’ve never even held clippers.
That’s why I’m teaming up with the best folks I know—past coworkers and amazing clients from my shop—to build our own thing. Software that truly gets us and our needs. I trust this crew completely, and I’m stoked about where we’re headed.

Current booking apps are built from the “client perspective.” Higher Booking is built from the barber’s perspective to meet the demands of the trade and ensure both the barbers and their customers have a seamless, mutually beneficial relationship.
We’re living in the era of the Big Tech quest to harvest customer information, exploit users and make unlimited profits at the expense of their workers and customers. This just doesn’t vibe for us. So we only partner with companies and people that share our values of fair wages, work/life balance, and user privacy. Back-end tech stack and corporate value stuff means a lot to us.
This thing only works if we truly work together as a community. As we grow, we will continually bounce ideas around with the community and look at every facet of managing the day to day flow as a barber. That means we’ll roll out features that barbers actually want—in a smart way. Together we can fortify the trade.
Now: We are in beta testing for our earliest adopters, solidifying the core booking and payment functionality.
Next: Collaborating with the First Chair Club and our user base, we’ll deep dive into every facet of barbering, building features on our platform that will drive real value for those behind the chair and running a shop.
